Keyword stuffing is dead. Position-weighted scoring isn't.
eBay's search algorithm doesn't weight all 80 characters of your title equally. The first 30 characters carry roughly 60% of the relevance score. The next 30 carry 30%. The last 20 — the part most sellers spend the most time tweaking — carry just 10%.

What sellers do wrong
Common title mistakes
- Brand name at position 1 (eats 8 prime characters with no search lift)
- Color and size at position 1–15 (buyers filter for these — they don't search them)
- ALL CAPS keywords (eBay collapses these, no SEO benefit)
- Keyword stuffing the last 20 chars (waste — 10% weight)
Bad title
